Banana Pancakes

Jack Johnson in Japan

On Saturday, April 15 I got to experience my first concert in Japan! At first, I didn't have tickets but I took a really early train to Tokyo to meet up with Megumi to ensure our chances of getting tickets. We lucked out and were able to get 2 tickets from some random guy waiting in line who just happened to have 2 extra tickets. We then went to none other than Tony Roma's! Being at a Tony Roma's with a Japanese menu and Japanese servers was definitely like walking into the Twilight Zone. Food was good though...I got Megumi to try a Margerita for the first time.

We went to wait in line for another ticket for Megumi's boyfriend, Shogo, and as we were waiting, I made friends with some high school kids who spoke perfect English. They let us join them in line once we had the extra ticket so that we wouldn't have crappy chances of being close to the stage.

To make a long story short, the concert was great. He opened with Matt Costa and ALO. I have finally decided to appreciate my tallness. There is nothing better than being able to see over everyone's heads at a concert! haha It was even easier for Megumi's boyfriend because he's about 6'2"!!!

Anyway, here he is...not really the clearest of pictures...but that is what happens when you've had a few drinks and your cell phone camera is extremely sensitive to movement.
